New Year - A New Idea!

With the new year quickly approaching, it's time to think about making your new year cards already. This is a simple adaptation of the previous 'Thank You' card, using a similar layout, but with completely different results.

Create this sparkly new year card to give to friends and family to welcome in 2008.
Simply glue a wide strip of patterned paper across the bottom of an A6 card. I have used this lovely lilac and aqua striped 8" x 8" scrapbook paper from Lakeland. Cut out lettering from holographic card for your greeting, which has been created by printing 'New Year' in reverse onto the reverse side of the card, then cut out with a craft knife.

Add a 'Happy' greeting silver peel-off sticker to the top left corner. Attach a length of holographic card strip across the join where the patterned paper meets the lilac card. Cut a circle from more holographic card and punch a star in the centre. Attach to the strip to create the effect of a hanging tag.

Punch six smaller silver stars from holgraphic card and decorate in lines of three (evenly spaced) across the top and bottom.

Finally, add '2008' in random black and white cardstock numbers from Lakeland.
