50 Years of Marriage

Isn't it strange how you often need two similar cards at the same time? I needed two Golden Wedding Cards this week for family friends and wanted to create something simply elegant for the happy couples.

These are ideal cards to feature in my series of beginner's cards as they are so easy to make.

Both use similarly embossed gold card bells bought as embellishments from a craft shop, although these could be created yourself using a Sissix machine or similar die cutting tool. The card on the left combined these bells with basic gold peel off sticker wording on a patterned card. The bells have been layered with sticky foam pads to make them look more three-dimensional.

The card on the right has been created from an aperture card. The circular aperture is lined with decorative vellum and the bells layered on top. Simple gold peel off lettering is added for the greeting and decoration in the corners, with co-ordinating adhesive ribbon across the top and bottom of the card.
