This card was a custom order created for a friend's masculine co-worker who loves his cars. I felt this BasicGrey dotty cardstock and lettering was ideal for this unusual leaving card. Muted tones suggest the sombre mood of the occasion during a time of redundancy.

It's Christmas!

...Well at least it is in my own little crafting world. Still working on the last of the Christmas papercrafts today for publications. It's difficult to get into the festive mode with the gorgeous sun shining through my studio window. I cannot believe what a gorgeous weekend we had! Summer is here at last!
So whilst I cannot show a photo of what I've been working on, as it's for my client, I can let you know I have been all tinseled up and singing Christmas carols.
There are some gorgeous new products in the Doodlebug range that I have been working with and I took a particular liking to these cardstock stickers. They are just perfect for trendy cards with minimum effort - ideal when you have large batches to make during the festive season.
Have you started making your Christmas cards yet?

Blog Makeover
Having been all 'glammed up' with my very own makeover recently, I thought it about time that my blog here on Creative Crafter UK should experience it's own makeover in my own digitally 'hand crafted' creative style!
So you can see the results, what do you think of my background? Do you like it? All comments and suggestions welcomed.

All That Sparkles!

Whilst work life has been busy creating projects for clients for their ever looming tight deadlines, a short break away gave me enough free time to create these pretty holographic necklaces. I have had so many wonderful comments from people when they see these for real. The way they catch the light makes them so eye-catching!
The orders have been coming in...which reminds me...I must make an order for more beads!
I cannot resist gorgeous beads and must visit every bead shop I pass on my travels. I like to use unusal ones in my pieces and will often create matching earrings, bracelets and brooches to match. My inspiration for many of my pieces can be seen in the world around me. I draw on nature, plants, foliage for the designs of many pieces, as well as the beach and countryside.
Are you a bead-a-holic? Let me know your favourite beads by leaving a comment here.

A BIG Thank You

A BIG thank you to everyone for reading my blog and staying in touch with all your lovely comments and suggestions. Whilst I have just returned from a rather soggy holiday 'up North' my viewing figures soared and crashed through the 2000 mark - well done everybody!!!
Now I'm back on track and steadily ploughing through weeks of emails, I will resume with more regular posts from me again.
The first here not only is a thank you for everyone reading my blog, but also a personal thank you to those of you that turned me into a fashion model recently at our photo shoot in Southampton (you know who you are!) I felt like a star for the day and had a thoroughly enjoyable experience! The results to be published in a forthcoming magazine.
In the meantime, simply try recreating this card with patterned paper attached to the left side of an A6 card. This is a gorgeous floral design by BasicGrey. Add three paper flowers and co-ordinating adhesive gems and decorate with gold line order and corner stickers. The all important insert adds a touch of class to complete the look and feel of the card. This design could be adapted in so many ways for quick and easy cards for a whole host of ocassions.
